A club which unites handicapped and able-bodied people is struggling to raise money to buy a new ambulance.
Banbury Phab Club may have to turn away its most needy members if it fails to find 40,000 necessary to replace an old vehicle.
The club - its motto is 'making more of life together' - promotes the integration of the physically handicapped and able-bodied,
It has 32 members, aged from 10 to 60, and helps people with disabilities enjoy a wide range of normal activities - camping, rock climbing, swimming, art, craft work and many sports.
Fundraising co-ordinator Kaaren Marshall said: "We have a number of special projects this year. Our ambulance is old and we need a new one. Without an ambulance with a tail lift we would have to close or turn away our most valuable members who are unable to use a normal minibus."
The club has raised 6,000 so far. On Saturday a craft fair at Banbury School will boost the total. The fair will be open from 10am to 4pm. Attractions will include Father Christmas.
