A finance expert with a big heart is being sought to help people with disabilities to enjoy the arts, writes Maggie Hartford.
Ithaca works with people with physical or sensory impairments, a learning disability or mental health needs.
This year its "Re-creating Ourselves" millennium programme has allowed hundreds of people with mental health problems to express themselves in drumming and music workshops, storytelling and creative writing, or arts and crafts.
Director Alison Leverett-Morris said: "Our treasurer is having to bow out for work reasons. He is an accountant, but we don't necessarily need an accountant anyone with a finance background could do it. We have a part-time finance worker who does the day-to-day work it's very much being a backstop and advising me on the long-term financial decisions and checking things for the audit."
