The Crispin Golf Society, from Harwell, have just returned from their sixth and most successful tour in Northern France.
No fewer than 20 members, who divided into two teams, made the journey for three days of competition over three courses.
After two days, with the scores close, it came down to the final day's singles matchplay, at the difficult Abberville course to conclude the tour.
The LVA chairman and team captain Ken Chapman lost his five-year-old unbeaten singles 'tour record' to Clive Farmer, and this handed victory to opposing team captain Gary Bradshaw.
