Oxfordshire hit top form in the Junior County Championships, recording a 10-0 whitewash against Wiltshire.

Greg Boone (Forum), having lost the first game of the first set, took the next two to set Oxon on their way. Sam Harrison (Forum) then beat Jonathan Humphreys, ranked some 46 places higher, in two.

Oxon took the next six sets in two straight sets, while the last two sets were both decided in the third in favour of Oxon to maintain their clean sheets.

Joanne O'Donovan (Forum) and Alex Childs (Banbury) were in excellent form, and the team were well led by captain John Camilleri (Banbury) who was never troubled by an opponent with two straight wins.

The next Junior Midland League match will take place at the Forum Youth Centre, Kidlington, on Saturday November 18 (2.30) when Oxford take on Kidderminster.

Oxford will be represented by Greg Boone (Forum), Sam Harrison (Forum) and Stewart Hamilton (St James). All began competitive table tennis in the Kidlington and St James Woolwich Leagues.

Oxford League title favourites Crown House B lost their unbeaten record when they came up against Gladiators as Paul Knight recorded a maximum.

Karl Bushell won all his sets for Forum A away to Haddenham
