Villagers have re-started an action group to minimise the impact of operations at a nearby gravel quarry.
They are trying to restrict the maximum height to which rubble can be dumped in a landfill site at Finmere quarry. They are also worried about dust and noise pollution from a re-cycling crusher.
The group, Finmere and Mixbury Against Gravel Extraction (Famage) has won the backing of Bicester MP Tony Baldry in asking Oxfordshire County Council to defer a decision on the planning application from the operators, Premier Aggregates.
Charley Grimston, Famage chairman, said that because the company had now put in a revised plan they needed more time to consider their response.
Premier, in a statement from consultants, said they now wanted the landfill to reach a maxium of 10ft above ground level.
