Oxfordshire beat Guernsey 4-2 on penalties in a thrilling South West Counties Mick Parry Memorial Trophy second-round tie.

The first ever meeting between the sides, switched to the University Parks ground due to the weather, proved a close encounter with no goals until extra time.

Oxon went ahead when a cross from Joe Burrows was firmly headed home by Daniel Keen, but Guernsey equalised with a scrambled goal from a corner to force penalties.

In the shoot-out, Daniel Mason, Burrows, Daniel Welsh and Keen were all successful from the spot, while Daniel Morgan's effort was saved.

Guernsey converted two of theirs while one was saved and another went wide of the mark.
