Retired airmen have commemorated the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Britain by raising £10,400 for their former comrades.
The Wantage and District Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association raised the cash for the Battle of Britain Wings Appeal with a series of collections.
The cash will be used to fund charity work, nursing and convalescent homes, and sheltered housing for serving and veteran airmen.
Branch president Doug Friend, of Barwell, Wantage, said: "We have surpassed our previous best collection by over £3,000. Members of the branch extend their heartfelt thanks to all who support our annual collection."
