Whooo can an owl find a home?
That's the dilemma facing a fierce-looking fellow who found himself lost in the Oxfordshire countryside.
The adult eagle owl, whose natural habitat is Scandinavia and eastern Europe, was discovered in bushes on the Shotover estate of Sir John Miller, by a woman out walking her dogs. The mystery bird
She called Clive Jones, a birds of prey expert from Wheatley, who managed to secure the frightened owl, which stands almost two feet tall and has a wingspan of about four feet.
The bird is now safe in an aviary at Great Milton while his owner is sought.
Mr Jones said: "It may have escaped if an aviary roof has become damaged in the recent storms."
Call Mr Jones on 01865 874897 if you can help.
