Abingdon United could be facing a goalkeeping crisis as they go into their second-round tie against Sussex County League side Burgess Hill Town at Northcourt Road tomorrow.

No 1 keeper Simon Tricker has reportedly signed for Banbury United and is set to make his debut at Wisbech Town tomorrow.

Reserve team keeper Carl Wilkins has just moved to Brackley Town and third choice Jake Eggby, who has just joined United after being given the boot by Carterton Town, is cup-tied.

General manager John Blackmore is expecting Tricker to line up for United, but admitted: "Banbury have put in a seven-day approach for him and are quite entitled to speak to him, but we talked to him on Tuesday and he was going to play for us."

Robbie McNeill returns from injury, but Tom Larman, a recent signing from Milton United, is cup-tied.

Abingdon have already disposed of two Sussex County League sides in the FA Cup and FA Vase this season, but Burgess Hill Town are expected to prove a tougher proposition.

Carterton Town have been hit by a spate of unavailability for their tough tie at unbeaten Jewson Western League leaders St Blazey.

Centre back Nathan Woodley is attending his firemen's passing out parade and defender Jamie Cole is having a wisdom tooth removed.

Striker Ani Odhiambo is away at Birmingham University, fellow forward Paul Sherwood is in Australia for a wedding and midfielder Jason Cook has a one-match ban.

However, manager Andy Slater has striker Phil Rodney and midfielder Tristan Didcock back for the trip to Cornwall, and youngsters Karl Dodds, James Whitrod, Russell Steele and Aslam Sultani come into the squad.
