Town councillors are insisting that all rides at its two annual funfairs should have their prices clearly displayed.
And they want prices at Thame's autumn fairs linked in with those at St Giles Fair in Oxford.
The town council decided unanimously that the Showmen's Guild must display prices at all times.
Member Paul Gleeson said few stalls and rides at the September and October fairs were displaying prices.
And he objected to some of the prices that were charged.
He said at the September Fair on the Saturday evening toddlers' rides were being charged at £1.50 a time.
He said: "This places a massive burden on people going to the fair with their children.
"At the October Fair the self-same rides were only 80p. I am not advocating that we fix the prices, but I do want people to get a fair deal."
Deputy mayor Mike Welply said: "It is quite wrong that prices are not displayed.
"We have a meeting with the Guild in December and we will make clear what we want."
