Battling Carterton produced a superb performance to hold unbeaten Jewson Western League St Blazey to a replay after an enthralling second-round tie on Saturday.
The Hellenic League side were without five first-team regulars for the long haul to Cornwall, but they played superbly before being pegged back to 3-3 at the end of 90 minutes.
Carterton then showed their character and total commitment by coming from behind in extra time to snatch a draw.
Both sides had early chances to break the deadlock, but it was the visitors who went ahead after 21 minutes when Aslam Sultani's cross was netted by Scott Taylor.
Robbie Wyatt's looping header deceived everyone for No 2 just before the break as Carterton went in 2-0 up at the interval.
The Cornish side, who had won nine and drawn three of their league matches this season and scored 49 goals, came out with all guns blazing for the second half.
They pulled one back in the 52nd minute when Walters's free kick beat keeper Nick Heritage, and a similar effort from 35 yards by Harrington brought the teams level.
Carterton were undaunted and went 3-2 up when Taylor beat the offside trap, but a 79th-minute header from Hooper from a corner tied the scores again.
When Morris put the home side 4-3 clear in extra time, Carterton's number seemed to be up, but they dug deep into their reserves and Taylor completed his hat-trick four minutes later to give the Oxfordshire side a second chance at home this Saturday.
