County A put paid to Oracle A's 100 per cent start to the Oxford League season thanks to a 4-2 victory which moves them five points clear at the top of Premier & Division 1, writes David White.

Jimmy Ewers set County on their way with a 2-0 win over Vince Taylor before teammates Richard Weller and Neil Craycraft won a frame apiece.

In Division 2, early pacesetters County B and Thame D fought out a draw to stay tied on points at the top.

The first two frames were shared between Roger Bates and Dave White. Jake Vanderkar sneaked frame from Chris Bowen and then put Thame 3-1. However, Priyan Shah proved more than a match for Tom Fletcher as the match ended 3-3.

Oracle D lost top spot in Division 3 when they lost 4-2 to County D thanks to two wins from Mark Clifford over Dave Noake and a deciding frame victory from Mick Lomas.
