Three goals in six first-half minutes proved decisive as Didcot overcame Almondsbury at the Loop Meadow Stadium in the Premier Division.
A stunning goal-line clearance from Jamie Heapy kept Almonsbury out before Didcot went ahead when Rod Dorrian's free-kick was headed home by Andy Marriott.
Within a minute, it was 2-0. Midfielder Jamie Copping was denied by a fine save by Rob Clarke, only for Simon Kelly to ram home the rebound.
The home side's scoring was completed just past the half-hour mark with the goal of the game. A defensive mix-up on the edge of the Almondsbury box saw the ball break to Luke Brandon, who chipped the ball high over the keeper and into the net.
Almondsbury fought back gamely after the break and reduced the arrears with ten minutes left. Referee Wright ruled that Marriott had brought down Damien Taggart inside the box, and the same player planted the spot-kick beyond Alex Deadman.
