Police officers arrived in force at an Oxfordshire village to patrol the streets and carry out speed checks.
Eight officers from the Wallingford police sector set up a temporary base in Fane Drive, Berinsfield, for 'Berinsfield Focused Patrol Day'.
A number of similar focused patrol days have been planned for other villages after Thames Valley Police received a cash boost from central Government for rural policing.
Insp Chris Parker, of Wallingford police, said: "The south Oxfordshire area as a whole was allocated £125,000, and in the Wallingford sector it means we can bring high-profile policing to a series of villages, in turn."
