People are being asked whether they think a town needs another pedestrian crossing.
Abingdon Town Council has succeeded in getting approval for a crossing in Dunmore Road from the Long Furlong estate to Tilsley Park. It should be installed by March.
Another crossing is being planned in Audlett Drive to link Thames View and the cycle track alongside Waitrose with the footpath and cycle track to Daisy Bank.
Those improvements will go ahead, alongside schemes for a new pavement in Audlett Drive and better drainage under play equipment in Tilsley Park.
Another site under consideration by the council is by St Edmund's School entrance in Radley Road. Town council member Alan Bryden is asking local people to let the council know whether they want a crossing there or not.
It would be funded jointly by the town, district and county councils. Opinions should go to the town council at the Old Abbey House in Abbey Close.
