It was back to National League Division 1 business for Oxford Devils on Saturday as they they travelled to Liverpool and came away with a 99-70 victory to stay top of the table.
The Devils started well, going in front 24-7 after only eight minutes, only to stutter to 24-20 at the end of the first quarter.
Although they never looked in any danger of losing this fixture, the visitors took a long time to dominate against a team struggling near the foot of the table.
However, Liverpool always had problems coping with the Oxford team's aggressive defence, especially Steve Riley and Todd McNeil, who were combining well on the boards.
The final quarter was one-way traffic, with the Devils out-scoring the home team 30-13 for a well-deserved victory.
Coach Bill Baker said: "I was a little disappointed with the contribution of players coming off the bench. We need to flow more. We played like we expected to win and probably did not give Liverpool enough respect."
