Oxford United fans have been buoyed by the news that two of the club's three new signings will be eligible to play in this Saturday's FA Cup first-round tie at Macclesfield.
It was thought that, because they are loan signings, neither Keith Andrews nor Keith Brown would be permitted to play at Moss Rose, because they would then be cup-tied.
But although Wolves have slapped a definite 'no' on midfielder Andrews, Barnsley boss Dave Bassett has given Oxford clearance to play 20-year-old defender Brown.
United's other newcomer Phil Gray, who has joined on a free transfer from Burnley, is a definite starter, having signed just before the FA Cup's seven-day deadline.
