Teamwork is the key to a successful partnership between the Oxford Women's RFC and an Oxford pub.
Sponsorship of the women's team by their adopted home, the Chester Arms on Chester Street, will ensure the team have a new strip and a venue to celebrate their wins.
Landlord of the Chester Arms, Mick Rathbone, agreed to support the team, who play in South Region Division 2, following an approach from the club.
"The team always bring a great atmosphere to the pub, especially when they have won," he said.
"I am also keen to add to the pub's sporting ties by setting up pool, darts and football teams here.
"Many of Pubmaster's pubs support local teams," said Graham Dawson, Pubmaster's regional manager.
"The Chester Arms and the Oxford Women's Rugby Football Club have established a great relationship which will hopefully take them from strength to strength."
