CCC A, by beating Oracle 2-1, now join New Club at the top of Division 1, with Oracle slipping down two places.
John Simpson, conceding 40 points, beat Ted Milsom narrowly 200-194, and Brian Mabbutt, conceding 70 points, won his fourth successive game, beating Jack Woods 200-161.
Lee Stopps, who got a 20-point start, notched up his fourth win, beating Ken Olive 150-130 to give Oracle a valuable point.
New Club had a 3-0 win over luckless Thame, who had difficulty with the slow pace of the table.
Veteran George Washington, conceding 20 points, won a close game against Arthur Jones 150-147, but the two youngsters, Andy Moss and Justin Shepherd, enjoyed runaway wins over Tom Fletcher and Kenny Eldridge 150-76 and 150-57 respectively.
Moss knocked in a 29 break, while Shepherd took over the high-break spot in Section 3 with a 32.
Ashton hold their place in Division 1 after their 2-1 away win at Newtrim.
Terry Chambers, conceding 80 points, beat Norman Woodcock 200-167, and then Neil Brayshaw, receiving a massive 140 points, hung on against a determined Simon Aries to win 200-187.
David Baker just managed to beat Peter Fenn 200-190.
Witney entertained the Division 2 leaders Eynsham, who have all three of their players on the maximum handicap of +110, and beat them 2-1.
Terry Cook found Geoff Watson too hot to handle and couldn't make up the 60-point start, losing 132-150, but Steve Mill, playing Mick McCluskey on an equal handicap, beat him 100-60 to level the match.
Then John Hume made up his 80-points start to beat Ken Leach 200-174 with breaks of 24, 32 and 34.
