A signed training top that once belonged to England football captain, David Beckham, will be auctioned before Christmas to raise money for a cancer charity.
Football ace Beckham gave his blue 'Nationwide' England top to Adrian O'Donnell, after a training session at Bisham Abbey in October.
Adrian, 39, whose wife Tracy suffers from lymph cancer, coaches Crowmarsh Boys under-14s and lives in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell.
He was invited to watch England train by then manager Kevin Keegan when the pair met at Ascot races.
"It turned out to be one of the best days of my life," said Adrian, who works for the prison service.
"There I was knocking a ball around and playing 'keep it up' with Andy Cole, David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville.
"My heart was thumping like I was seven years old."
It was the last training session before England lost to Germany on October 7 and Kevin Keegan resigned.
Adrian added: "After the training session, Keegan told Beckham not to give me his top because it would set a precedent.
"But he just laughed and gave it to me anyway."
And later, when Adrian contacted the footballer through Manchester United, Beckham agreed to sign the waterproof top and send it back.
The top has now been framed by Wallingford Glass Supplies, and will be auctioned in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Fund.
Adrian already has been offered £1,000 for it, so that's the starting price.
Bidding will start on Monday, December 11, and will continue until Friday, December 15. You can place your bid, and help a worthy cause, by calling the Marie Curie Cancer Fund on 01869 246655.
"It would be a fantastic Christmas present for someone, or perhaps a sports club could make a group bid," said Adrian.
