Sandman were denied the chance of second place in Division 1 by a last-kick equaliser from Athletico Indaline's Tim Barton, writes Mick Day.
Barton, recently transferred from Brightwell, gave his new team an unlikely 2-2 draw on a day when only two league games were played because of the weather.
Sandman went ahead in the 42nd minute when Warrick Baldwin fired home.
Barton equalised for Athletico after the break, but in the 73rd minute, substitute Steve King grabbed Sandman's second.
With seconds remaining, Darren Wilkinson's long ball out of defence found Barton who controlled it first time to fire in the equaliser.
In Division 2, Brewery Tap Res kept their title challenge going with a 4-3 win over Long Wittenham.
Steve Hendy grabbed his second successive hat-trick for Tap, with the other strike coming from Gary Hartley. Wittenham replied through Nigel Cook, Andy Dix and an own goal.
The top result of the day in the Ridgeway Cup saw Buckland from Division 3A beat second division strugglers JET 8-4.
Buckland were 3-2 up at the break after strikes from Alex Morgan and Ross MacDonald (2), Colin Dicken and Simon Thresh netting for JET.
Buckland pulled away in the second half through strikes from Alex Lynch, Neil Podbury, Adie Holder, Ben Harrison and a second from Morgan. Panos Karditsas grabbed a consolation for JET near the end.
Rutherford Lab went through after a 3-2 win over Crispin Harwell.
Chris Medlock got the only goal in the first half. Rob Glen levelled for Harwell but a poor back-pass gave Ian Williamson the chance to make it 2-1.
A Stuart Tofte penalty strike gave Crispin more hope until a Lee Hammonds free kick took Rutherford into the second round draw.
Burford United moved in to the next round with a 4-2 win at Hampstead Norreys thanks to strikes by Oliver Whitehall, Del Hewson, Simon Gibbs and Simon Cook.
Nick Hobbs and Brian Pearce replied for the hosts.
James Copping fired in five as Prince of Wales overcame The Stocks 10-3. Other scorers for PoW were Wayne Kelly (3), Rob Noble and Doug Gayley.
**The Autotype UTV League's representative side lifted the Fred Carroll Floodlit Cup with a 6-1 win over Wantage Town at Alfredian Park.
Tom Larman (2), Gary Sutton, Wayne Harbert (2) and Matty Goddard got the goals for the UTV side.
