A major contract to distribute video tape across the UK has been won by a Banbury company.
Exel's Consumer-Europe division will run the Emtec Magnetics warehousing contract from its Banbury base. In addition to handling weekly shipments from Germany and the Far East, the centre also holds stocks for emergency delivery to stores and corporate customers including banks and the BBC.
John Winston, Exel's managing director for Consumer-Europe, said: "While we can bring clients the benefits of being part of the world's largest supply chain management company, we are also continuing to strengthen our emphasis on customer-focused delivery at a local level."
Until recently the Banbury centre was owned by MSAS McGregor Cory Logistics, which is now part of Exel's Consumer-Europe division.
