Villagers are preparing to banish the winter blues with a two-day festive celebration.
The villages of Ardington and Lockinge, near Wantage, are planning a weekend of pre-Christmas music and entertainment.
The events include a fun musical revue on Saturday, December 2, followed on the Sunday by a charity concert and Christmas market featuring crafts, jewellery, local produce and speciality food.
The concert, featuring solos, duets and ensembles by local musicians, will raise funds for the Helen House Hospice in Oxford.
The weekend follows a successful series of celebrations last year, though this is the first time money will be raised for charity. All the events take place in the Loyd Lindsay Rooms in Ardington.
One of the organisers, Anne Hatton, said: "Villagers, friends and visitors are welcome. Last year's events were for fun but were so successful we decided to do it again."
