An internet trading club is due to be launched next month for businesses in Oxfordshire.
The e-purchasing community would involve companies in one sector, such as electronics and telecommunications, clubbing together to seek savings on buying supplies.
It is to be launched on May 18 at the offices of cable company NTL in Wokingham. Representatives of software developers Infobank and Dell Computers are due to attend. Murat Terzi, of organisers Thames Valley Technology, based at Oxford Science Park, said: "Group purchasing will leverage buying power to the level where suppliers will also see the benefits of negotiating new terms and conditions. Annual savings of 20 per cent or more are anticipated."
TVT is now looking for firms with annual sales of between 15 and 50m to join an electronics supplier catalogue.
