Wantage came from behind to gain a vital victory over fellow strugglers Almondsbury and move out of the bottom two in the Premier Division.
Watts put Almondsbury ahead before Chris Roche equalised on 35 minutes from the impressive Ben Spiero's cross.
Roche's header from Sean Cantwell's corner proved the winner.
Didcot made it 12 league games without defeat thanks to a hard-earned draw at Shortwood.
Didcot pressure after the break seemed to have paid off in the 68th minute when Rod Dorrian's inswinging corner was deflected into the net off the underside of the bar, but the referee ruled it out.
Bottom club Milton fell to their 12th defeat in 13 games.
Ian House opened the scoring for Yate in the 30th minute, and although Milton equalised through Jamie Evered, further Yate goals from Richard Thompson and Paul Methingham killed them off.
Letcombe gave a disappointing first-half display in this Division 1 fixture.
After the break, Matty Goddard was the pick of an overworked defence, while Cirencester keeper Jason Huxtable denied Mark Rees after a great run.
