A woman fell ill at a Hallowe'en party, went to sleep and was then woken by a man raping her, a court heard.
The 24-year-old was holding a party in Oxford on October 31 last year before she and her flatmates moved house.
She told Oxford Crown Court that she had been drinking and dancing before hugging her flatmate "because we were having a really good night.
She said they both fell to the floor and she banged her head.
She said she felt dizzy and sick so went for a lie down in her bedroom and fell asleep straight away.
She said the next thing she was aware of was that someone having sex with her and she started screaming hysterically.
Nigel Daly, prosecuting, said her friends heard her screams and burst into the room to find Ashley Sexton, 22, of Margaret Road, Headington, Oxford, who said: " I haven't done anything."
Mr Daly said friends chased Sexton away and he was arrested the following day.
Swabs taken from the victim showed DNA from the defendant and vice versa, Mr Daly told the court.
Sexton denies one charge of rape.
David Batcup, defending, asked the alleged victim if the person kissing her and helping to remove her clothing was her boyfriend. She said she did not think her boyfriend was there at any time.
The case continues.
