A massive increase in pupils eating school meals has led to a cash prize.
St Aloysius First School in Woodstock Road, Oxford, was given £250 by Oxfordshire County Council for the highest increase in the county 65 per cent.
St Aloysius First's headteacher, Chris Crouch, said: "School cook Wendy Leggett should be praised for her great menus, and for making lunchtime such an enjoyable experience for pupils and staff alike."
Micro, the council's meal service mascot, has been leading a series of promotional events to make school lunches more popular again.
The overall rise in children across the county eating them is ten per cent.
