Centre back Michael Thorp is set to be in the starting line-up for Oxford City as they visit Folkestone Invicta in their much-delayed FA Umbro Trophy first round tie tonight, writes Russell Smith.
Thorp came off at half-time in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Ford United his first game since fracturing a cheekbone ten weeks ago.
But manager Paul Lee said it was only a precaution as Thorp was complaining of soreness after tearing shoulder ligaments in training.
City will still be without injured trio Simon Abercrombie, Andy Smith and Matt Hayward, while youngsters Lee Hewlett, Steven Gray, Jemaine Ferreira and John McMahon are unavailable due to college commitments.
Mark Scanes and Leighton Creer step up from the reserves.
Banbury United, whose Dr Martens Eastern Division fixture at home to Spalding United on Saturday was postponed due to waterlogging, are hoping the pitch will have recovered in time for tonight's visit of lowly Corby Town.
George Redknap is available again, and the break in action has given Matty Gooderick, John Corbett, Les Phillips and Garry Harrison extra time to recover from knocks.
Defender Keith Willetts is rated very doubtful for Witney Town's trip to struggling Burnham in the Dr Martens Eastern Division.
Willetts lasted only 15 minutes of Witney's 4-1 win over St Leonards on Saturday after aggravating a groin injury.
