Oxfordshire won the last five legs to pull off an astonishing 19-17 victory away to Wiltshire in the Inter-County Championship.
Oxon Ladies B started well with wins from Iris Doyle (19.78) her third lady-of-the-match this season and a victory in five legs for Ruth Smith, but they still went down 4-2.
Saturday afternoon produced a 7-5 victory for Oxon Men's B, including a win from Ray Pape on his debut, and a man-of-the-match display from Kevin Middleton.
Going into Sunday all square at 9-9, Oxon lost the first four Ladies A legs before Karen Williams and lady-of-the match Clare Bywaters salvaged the last two games.
This bodes well for Williams and Bywaters, who will be playing in the Winmau World Masters and the Ladies world championship qualifier at the Lakeside, Frimley Green next week.
Despite Joe Palmer's man-of-the-match display, which brought him his second 30-plus average of the season, Oxon Men's A needed the last five games to win the match.
But they did just that to secure an astonishing victory.
