Staff at Burford's Visitor Information Centre are on the look out for old photographs of the town and surrounding villages.
The centre is staging an exhibition of old photographs to celebrate Christmas and the New Year from December 18 to January 6.
Photographers are also being invited to take part in a competition to find the best photographs of the area with two categories for those under 16 and over 16.
The centre's manager Mrs Teresa O' Kelly said: "The West Oxfordshire area offers photographers so many opportunities to take great photographs, from views of the autumn mist settling on the beautiful countryside to the winter sun reflecting off the mellow Cotswold stone buildings. We want as many people as possible to take part in the competition."
Competition entries and old photographs must be submitted to the centre by Wednesday, December 13.
