Headington Roadrunner Jude Craft continued her comeback from injury with a fine victory in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Cross Country Championships at Eton on Sunday, writes Jon Murray.
Never seriously threatened, she pulled steadily away from the field to win comfortably from, among others, Tracey Galbraith, of Radley Ladies, who took the bronze medal.
On the team front, White Horse Harriers' season goes from strength to strength. For the third weekend running, their men's team emerged victorious.
With nine runners in the first 28, with only six to score, the depth of the Harriers squad put the result well beyond the reach of the other competing teams.
As usual White Horse were led home by Pete Wilson in fifth place.
The rest of the team packed in closely, with Gavin Felton seventh, Paul McCourt tenth, Dave Wright 12th, Tim Hughes 15th and Trevor Taylor 22nd.
In the younger age groups, Harriers enjoyed success, with victories for Tom Penfold in the Under 17 men and Josephine Rhodes in the Under 15 girls, and second place for Chris Gillespie in the Under 15 boys.
