AFC Vikings from Division 1 caused an upset by dumping out Premier Division Rose Hill 3-2 in the League Cup third round, writes Geoff Bower.

Paul Knight followed up after Rose Hill's keeper had kept out a penalty to give Vikings the lead, and when Hill were awarded a penalty, Ian Brakespear pulled off a superb save to keep them in front.

However, Hill's constant pressure eventually saw them equalise midway through the second half from a second penalty.

Matty Leach put Vikings back in front. Hill levelled again, only for Leach to snatch his second at the death.

Six Bells Kidlington came out on top 5-4 in a ding-dong battle at Angel Witney.

Daniel Morris grabbed the winner for Six Bells, whose other goals came from Fraser Gills (2), Simon Grossman and an own goal.

Star Royal brushed aside AFC Jericho 6-2. Brian Selkirk converted a free kick to give Jericho the lead, but Ben Baldwin soon had Royal level and Mickey Tighe put them ahead.

A Steve Jenkins diving header and a James Green strike further increased their lead before Simon Silva pulled one back. However, substitute Ian McGaskill put Royal back on track and Green's second sealed the victory.

In league action, Northway secured their first win in Division 2 with a 1-0 victory at Oxford Celtic Supporters.

Darren Brown's volley midway through the first half was enough to separate the two sides.

In Division 4, Roebuck were involved in another goal-crazy game as they ran out 9-7 winners at Donnington Wanderers to record their first league win.

Mark Scanes, in the Roebuck midfield, ran Donnington ragged with a four-goal blast.

Justin Harris (2), Darren Barber, Carl Barber and Lee Harris sealed their much-needed points.

Greg Bacon hit a first-half hat-trick to set Mansfield Road Res on the way to a 5-0 victory over Woodchip Wanderers.

A brace from Nanu Grewell in the second half wrapped up the points.

Berkshire House continued their revival with a 3-2 victory over Carriers Arms.

Vijay Patel, Jim McKinight and Simon O'Connor netted for Berkshire, who were also indebted to a fine penalty save from Martin Warrall which denied Carriers an equaliser.
