Abingdon outfit Sandman kept pace with the leaders in Division 1 with a comprehensive 4-1 win over neighbours Red Lion Sunday.

Red Lion took the lead on the half hour through James Stockford, but Andy Deane was brought down in the box just before the break and brother Kev converted the spot-kick to square it.

Kev Deane grabbed a second on the hour and as the home side moved up a gear, strikes from Steve King and Dave Humphries sealed the verdict.

Second-placed Chilton came from behind against strugglers Brightwell, winning 4-2 with two goals apiece from Ron Harris and Jamie Newport.

Martin White scored for Brightwell following Laurence Harvey's early opener.

Brewery Tap enjoyed a narrow 2-1 victory over Saxton Rovers thanks to strikes from David Galliford and Derek Palfrey. Dave Hawthorne replied for Rovers.

In Division 2, a second-half double strike for Burford United's Simon Gibbs kept the West Oxon side on track for promotion as they beat JET 3-1.

Buckland jumped to the top of Division 3A with an 8-0 thrashing of The Stocks. Their marksmen were Alex Morgan (2), Ross MacDonald (3), Roger Podbury, Ben Harrison and sub Adie Holder.

Medisense triumphed 6-0 at AFC Kidlington with strikes from Steve Bayliss (3), Danny Parry (2) and Phil Timmins.

In Division 3B, Prince of Wales, Didcot lost their unbeaten record, going down 3-2 at AFC Crowmarsh.

Matty Simpson gave the home side the lead but Doug Gayley made it 1-1 with a penalty before half-time.

PoW edged ahead in the second half through Jamie Copping strike before Craig Fisher levelled for Crowmarsh. With ten minutes left, Paul Hooper grabbed the winner from the penalty spot.

George & Dragon kept their 100 per cent record in fine style with a 9-3 win over Chilton Casuals. Their goals came from Andy Smith (3), JR Willis (2), Des Healy (2), Derek Cawley and Neil Tonner. John Nobel, Ollie Carter and Dave Blissett replied for Casuals.

In the Ridgeway Cup first round, Forest Hill saw off Wallingford Exiles 4-1. The only strike in the first-half came from Forest's Llewellyn Fryer, but Andy Rowland stretched their lead after the break following good work from Gary Hudson.

Jason Wyatt made it 2-1 before the home side wrapped it up with strikes from Rowland and player-manager Andy Winchester.
