After playing golf for only two years, young Stephen Cundy already has an impressive array of trophies.
The 15-year-old, from Milton, near Abingdon, has just been voted junior golfer of the year at Goring and Streatley GC and received a host of prizes at their presentation evening.
In addition to winning on his home course, Stephen, whose handicap has plummeted to nine, also won open junior events at Burford and Calcot Park.
Golf is in the blood. Stephen could follow in the footsteps of two uncles who are golf professionals in the Midlands.
However, for now, Stephen is putting his academic studies first. He's studying for GCSEs at St Birinus School, Didcot, and wants to stay on for A levels and then go to university.
According to his father, Paul, who is also a member at Goring, Stephen is aiming to get down to a four handicap within 12 months. Watch this space!
