We've done it away, now let's start doing it at home . . . that was the feeling from goalkeeper Richard Knight and the rest of the Oxford United players as they prepared for today's Division 2 game against Notts County at the Manor Ground, writes Jon Murray.
David Kemp's team have recorded back-to-back away wins at Swansea and Macclesfield, but they know that they must turn around their home form which stands at one win and six defeats from nine league games if they are to preserve their second division status.
"After everything that's gone on, things are starting to look up again and if we can start winning at home, things will be a lot brighter," Knight said.
"We've not put in the performances at home this season, we know that, and hopefully we can give the home fans something to cheer about again.
"The fans at the Manor sometimes don't help. To me, personally, they've always been superb, but they've got to get right behind the team.
"When you're at the bottom, your home form is very important, and we've got to have opposition teams coming to the Manor saying 'this is going to be hard for us'.
"That hasn't been the case. Opponents have been coming here thinking 'we can turn this lot over'. We've got to be a lot stronger at home."
Kemp has just one selection decision to make after already stating that Dubliner Keith Andrews will return to the centre of midfield, where he could take over from Lee Jarman.
Peter Fear is suspended and his place on the right side of midfield could be taken by Chris Hackett, Dean Whitehead, Simon Weatherstone, or perhaps Jarman moving out wide.
For loanees Keith Brown and Andrews, it will be their home debuts.
Paul Powell was back in training yesterday but he is expected to be on the bench.
County have Anders Jacobsen, who played for United during pre-season while on trial, in their three-man defence, and Alex Dyer on the bench.
The Magpies made two loan signings this week. Striker Danny Allsop will definitely start, but it's unclear whether Adam Newton, a teenager from West Ham, will start or be on the bench.
** Forest Green Rovers' Wayne Hatswell, who has been linked with United, has spent one day training with them this week, according to reports.
