Proud parents watched as brownies planted a Christmas tree and sang carols to win badges.
Twenty-five girls from the 1st Iffley pack, aged between five and 11, decorated the tree with strings of popcorn at the unit's base at the Rose Hill Family Centre, Ashurst Way, Oxford.
Parents were offered home-made mince pies and the brownies lit lanterns they had made and burned candles to win their world-wide badges.
Barn Owl Carol Washington said: "We wanted to do something more environmentally-friendly for their world-wide badges so we came up with this. It was a bit rainy so we had to do the planting between showers.
"It was a really nice evening with the candles, lanterns and singing."
