Didcot Town's Premier Division game against Cirencester Academy was abandoned with 89 minutes gone after Town's Rodney Dorrian suffered a broken right leg.
The injury came after a foul by Academy's Stuart Hodgson, who was shown the red card.
Dorrian had given Town the lead on 27 minutes after Andy Graham collected a rebound and fed Dorrian at the edge of the box.
Town lost young defender Luke Brandon through injury on 40 minutes after another bad foul.
Academy's equaliser came on 73 minutes after Town keeper Alex Deadman had parried a low shot to his left, and Mark Belcher stabbed home the rebound from close range.
Andy Marriott and Jamie Copping both went close for Didcot before the game was dramatically halted, although the result still stands.
