Luke Beauchamp saw red as Abingdon Town slid to defeat against Hornchurch in Ryman League Division 3 at Culham Road the third successive home game in which they have had a player sent off.
Evasive action: A defender turns his back as Abingdon's Tony Burden fires over a cross
In following Martin Shepherd, who was dismissed in the 1-1 draw against Lewes, and Roger Charles, who got his marching orders in the 3-2 win over Croydon Athletic, it's believed Beauchamp's dismissal sets an unenviable club record.
He was sent off in the 87th minute when he handled to deny the visitors
Hornchurch had deservedly taken a 19th-minute lead when Lowery's cross was met by Cripps, whose smart volley was too good for Jonathan Beames.
Cripps struck again on the stroke of half-time, netting from eight yards after being set up by Riepbert.
But Abingdon reorganised at half-time and gave themselves a lifeline in the 56th minute when Jopson, under pressure from Shepherd, headed Darren Watts's free-kick into his own net.
Richard Twine was then unlucky with a tremendous 25-yard drive which struck the inside of a post before rebounding back into play.
But Honrchurch restored their two-goal lead in the 66th minute when Watts broke through to shoot past Beames.
Town kept battling and reduced the deficit again when Shepherd headed home Ben Border's free-kick in the 78th minute, but Beauchamp's dismissal sealed their fate.
Abingdon Tn: Beames, Thomas, Burden, Beauchamp, Price (Cleevely), Shepherd, Border, Morgan, Paterson, Watts, Twine. Subs not used: Gill, Douglas.
