Shoppers at a charity shop now have easy access to information about the fight against cancer following a refurbishment.
The new-look Imperial Cancer Research Fund shop in Market Place, Wallingford, re-opened this week when town mayor Denis Strange cut the ribbon across the door.
Customers paying for goods at the shop face a bulletin board of facts such as: "Almost 95 per cent of men with testicular cancer are now treated successfully."
Leaflets about the charity's work are also available in the shop, and a new community noticeboard in the front window provides local information.
The ICRF's area manager, Philippa Elsmore, said the same design strategy was being used in all the charity's 72 shops.
She said: "The aim is to give customers more information on where their money is going and why we need their continuing support."
"And we want the shop to be community-based."
Mrs Elsmore added: "We always need more donations of clothing, books, and in particular, bric-a-brac."
