Brides-to-be flocked to the Oxford Mail's wedding fair and bridal fashion show.
More than 200 came through the doors of the Four Pillars Hotel in Sandford-on-Thames yesterday. With 40 stands, organisers described it as the biggest and best yet.
Key attractions were two bridal fashion shows by Abingdon-based Fantasia Bridalwear, a jazz band and the opportunity to talk to photographers and firms dealing with wedding cakes, dresses and receptions.
The Oxford Mail's events and exhibitions sales executive, Christine Green, said: "It's been a brilliant day - the feedback was unbelievable. Everybody was really happy and quite a lot had taken bookings. Others had consultations booked for next week.
One happy stallholder was Vanessa Gledhill, owner of Bicester-based Vanessa's Cakes. She said: "It was a very busy day and I've taken a lot of orders."
Bride-to-be Jennifer Blow, 23, of New High Street, Headington, was also full of praise for the exhibition.
She said: "I'm getting married in 2002 so I'm just at the beginning of things, but this is very good for ideas and getting phone numbers."
