Primary school pupils spent an afternoon making tubes and recycling plastics as part of a science and technology workshop.
The Eynsham Primary School workshop was part of The Oxford Trust's tenth annual festival of science and innovation.
In January, teachers from ten primary schools around the county spent a day with the trust trying out a variety of activities.
Pupils and teachers at Eynsham Primary School were given guidance by members of the trust and engineers from local companies.
The aim of the project is to provide practical workshops which link science with design and technology.
Primary science co-ordinator for the trust, Mike Dennis, said: "Science and design and technology are separate areas of the National Curriculum but inevitably are very closely linked. These workshops, as well as being highly enjoyable, help to put science into a design and build context, much as it is in everyday life."
