Vandals responsible for recent car crime are thought to be behind a new outbreak of damage to vehicles.
Flashback: A vandalised car in Wovlercote last month
Last weekend, nine vehicles in the Lovelace Road and Templar Road areas of Cutteslowe in north Oxford had their tyres slashed outside their owners' homes.
Two weeks ago, Wolvercote families complained about a dozen similar incidents in which car windows and lights were smashed, and tyres were also slashed.
The attacks, which also involved damage to local properties, led to the police targeting the village in a special exercise to stamp out the mini-crimewave.
Inspector Eugene Gratwohl of Thames Valley Police, admitted those responsible may have now moved their activities from Wolvercote to Cutteslowe.
He said: "It could well be the same team, as our response in Wolvercote may have displaced the vandalism to another area.
"This does stand out as a 'blip' in an area which is having a reduction in crime as a whole, and the team is now looking at Cutteslowe.
"We're trying to work in partnership with the community and other agencies to solve problems as a whole, of which auto crime is only a part.
"We can't address all these problems alone, and we would urge residents to contact us with any information to help us solve this. Any help and information they could give us would be a great help."
The police can be contacted on 01865 266333, or information can be offered anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
