Since Christmas the Oxford Mail Boys League have lost 149 games postponed due to the weather, sickness and in the older age groups outside competitions.

But Alan Spence, the league's fixture secretary, believes that they can still complete the league fixtures for the season.

"In some age groups, we will need to review the situation towards the end of March, when some games may need to be rearranged to ensure we have winners and runners-up."

The major problem is the cup competitions, which are well behind.

So the fixture programme on Sunday, February 18 has been rearranged to accommodate all outstanding cup matches, which will have priority over league matches.

Spence said: "I am sorry to keep messing the club fixture secretaries about, but I am grateful for their help and support at this difficult time."
