A music and arts-based charity is celebrating the approval of a 5,000 grant towards a festival in the town.
Abingdon Umbrella has been granted the money from the national Awards for All scheme.
Abingdon Umbrella has staged many events in recent years but this year is "going big", said one of the organisers, Sam Prince from Faringdon.
For six days, starting on May 28, Abingdon Umbrella will be staging a Madd (music, arts, dance and drama) May Fest of music, dance and theatre in the town.
