JON Richardson returns to the United line-up for today's Division 2 game at the Manor, but fit-again midfielder Paul Tait will probably have to make do with a place on the bench.

Manager David Kemp may be tempted to bring back the pacy Chris Hackett.

Hackett was rested for the U's last game at Peterborough, with Peter Fear taking over on the right, but the midfield was out of sorts.

Wycombe are currently without no fewer than six strikers. Andy Rammell (hamstring) is the latest, joining Sam Parkin (back), Jermaine McSporran, Sean Devine, Paul Emblen and Danny Sender, who all have knee injuries.

Ex-Oxford City and Abingdon Town forward McSporran, who injured his cruciate ligaments, and Devine, are out for the season.

So Wanderers boss Lawrie Sanchez looks likely to pair Andrew Baird with Keith Ryan up front. Ryan, although experienced, is normally a midfielder.

Wycombe, who tend to play with a 4-3-1-2 formation, will probably have central defender Paul McCarthy as a substitute, even though he has recovered from sprained ankle ligaments.
