Gillian Stratton is so impressed with her beatiful amaryllis, she wanted to share it with This is Oxfordshire readers.
Mrs Stratton, of Wood Farm Road, Headington, was given the plant by a friend who had to go into hospital just after Christmas. She has watched as it flourished into a mass of red and white.
Gillian and her plant
She said: "It was bought from Marks and Spencer and I haven't given it any special treatment - just some water now and then. But friends and neighbours have been really impressed with it."
She put the plant's healthiness down to the temperature of her room and the fact it was placed on a table which caught the sun.
We reckon it is the biggest and best in the city. Are we wrong?
