A motorcycle pillion passenger died following a crash near Thame at the weekend.
The Honda machine was travelling on the B4011 between the villages of Long Crendon and Oakley when it was in collision with a Land Rover travelling towards Thame.
A Renault van was also involved in the incident, which happened a mile outside Oakley just before midday on Saturday.
The Honda rider and his passenger were both taken to the Stoke Mandeville Hospital near Aylesbury but the pillion passenger, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The motorcyclist was discharged later as police set up a detailed investigation into how the accident happened. The dead man has not been named.
