Children from a primary school raised money for the Indian earthquake appeal by sticking pound coins on a large map of the country.
The pupils of Glory Farm Primary School, in Hendon Place, Bicester, pasted their pocket money on to the map which will then be sent off to the appeal fund.
The outline of the country was drawn by school secretary Veronica Phillips, although it was Year Two pupil Jasmin Jafminebastable, who came up with the fundrasing initiative.
She wrote a letter to the school's headteacher Michael Waine who gave the fundraising project its go-ahead.
Most aid agencies are no longer accepting clothes donations, but the appeal for cash is on-going. Ways to donate are:
*Call the Disasters Emergency Committee on 0870 6060900
*Go to any bank with a cheque made payable to 'DEC India Earthquake Appeal'
*Hand in cheques to the Oxford Asian Cultural Association, Manzil Way, east Oxford.
