Oxford City Stars are to put in a protest about an official after their 7-2 cup defeat with a weakened side away to Telford Royals on Sunday.
Following City's complaints about local official Blaine Evans after the last game at Telford, he was again allocated to referee this contest.
After some ill feeling between certain players in earlier matches, and with the chance of meeting the Royals in the play-offs, City used several fringe players.
After a scoreless first period, Telford opened up a 5-0 lead in the second period but the Stars tied the third period 2-2 with goals from 19 year-old rergular Andy Cox and Derek Flint.
Oxford scorers: D Flint 1+1, A Cox 1+0, J Grocutt 0+1, C West 0+1.
Matt Cameron, from Oxford City, played for England under 18-20s at Invicta (Gillingham) on Saturday in a run-out for the likely squad for the forthcoming world junior championships.
In their final league match before next week's Town v Gown fixture, Oxford University women's team beat Streatham Storm 4-0.
