Two Hanborough A players suffered broken legs in their Supplementary Cup second-round tie against Freeland forcing the match to be abandoned.

The two incidents happened in a 20-minute spell in the second half.

Firstly, Peter Willis fractured his leg and ruptured his Achilles. Then Harvey Rathbone broke his leg in two places, leaving referee Andy Warner with no real alternative but to call the tie off.

Freeland were leading 4-1 at the time.

Hanborough enjoyed better fortune in the Senior Cup second round as they beat Chadlington 5-4 on penalties in a thrilling all-Premier Division tie.

The match had finished 2-2 at the end of normal time and 4-4 after extra time. Rob Lovick (2), Mark Lambourne and Justin Summers were Hanborough's scorers in open play.

Eynsham Royals' wretched season hit a new low when the Premier Division's bottom club crashed out 3-1 to Division 1 side Napier Rovers, who played the entire game with ten men after some of their players including the keeper failed to turn up.

Despite this, Napier triumphed with goals from Will Graham, Carl Osgathorp and Mickey Barrass. Mark Revill provided Eynsham's lone reply.

Enstone edged out Premier Division rivals Charlbury 3-1 with goals from Rob Busby, Dave Stevens and Lee Baker.

Kidlington Old Boys emphasised their position as Junior Cup favourites by destroying Hanborough Res 5-0 in the second round.

Kevin Salter led the way with a hat-trick to add to keeper Jason Rowlands penalty and Gordon Geary's strike.

In the only Premier Division game, Hailey eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 win over Bampton.

All the goals came in the second half, with Nick Wells and Darren Mills scoring for Hailey and Jason Blackwell replying.
